With Deepest Sympathy Mr. Duong Cau

We are saddened to hear the news of our beloved alumnus , father, and Duc Duc Alumni Association member, has passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on October 6th, 2023 in San Jose, California.

Our heartfelt condolences and our thoughts go out to Mr. Duong Cau and his family. Rest in peace, Mr. Duong Cau.

The funeral ceremony will be held at OAK HILL MEMORIAL PARK Sunshine Chapel. Address is 300 Curtner Avenue San Jose, Ca 95125 USA

Members of the Association have elected the following persons for the coming term starting immediately.

The Association will skip 2024 Reunion Party. Instead, the Association will probably arrange an outdoor picnic, date and time to be determined, or it can be canceled due to lack of participants.

With Deepest Sympathy 陳增輝老師

Duc Duc Alumni Association was deeply saddened by the news of our beloved, highly respected, former teacher of Bien-Hoa Duc Duc High School, 陳增輝, has passed away peacefully surrounded by love ones on September 24th, 2022 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our heartfelt condolences and our thoughts go out to 廖若紅老師 and family.

Mr. Chen graduated from Beijing Normal University back in China, He served as Academic Director and junior High School in Duc-Duc High School, Bien Hoa, Vietnam. The school later added a senior high school class and became senior high school head teacher.

The funeral ceremonial function will be held at Cennelly-McKinley Funeral Homes (10011-114 St., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) on October 3rd, 2022 from 11:00am until 12:30pm.

Please accept our condolences on the passing of 陳增輝老師. May our beloved teacher Rest in Peace.

Duc Duc Alumni reunion announcement

Duc Duc Teachers and Friends,

These three years of pandemic remind us that no amount of money is better than our health. All the fame and fortune in the world will not buy us happiness. Human lives are fragile, and our time is limited. It’s one less meal, one less encounter, and one less chance to say you care.

On November 19th, I hope you will join us to celebrate our lives, to mark the worst behind us. We will fill our time with beautiful memories after three years of separation and isolation. I can’t wait to see all of you together again!

With Sympathy - Mr. Edward Thi

This morning, Duc Duc Alumni Association learned from teacher 廖若虹 that her ex-teacher, Mr. Edward Thi, had passed away two days ago in Fremont, California, at the age of 96. His wife also had passed away last year in June 12th, 2021.

Perhaps there are a few alumni who are not familiar with Mr. Edward Thi. Teacher Thi once taught in Cho Lon, Vietnam. Teacher 廖若虹 was his student at time. After the Vietnam War ended in 1975, Teacher Thi immigrated to France and then to the Bay Area in the United States. He is a native of Tongde, Fujian. He used to serve as president of the Fujian Association in the San Francisco Chinese community. Mr. Thi is well-read and knowledgeable of Chinese literature, he is fluent in 9 languages, familiar with music, poetry, and also a calligrapher; Our president, Mr. Luong Duc Minh was his calligraphy student. In 2018, Mr. Thi wrote a school song for the Duc Duc Alumni Association, and teacher 陳增輝 wrote lyrics. The song's name is "Duc Duc Song". In 2014, Mr. Thi and his wife also attended the 4th Duc Duc Alumni Reunion banquet in San Jose, California.

Vô cùng thương tiếc khi hay tin cô Trương Thị Khên đã từ trần vào ngày 26 tháng 10 năm 2021 vừa qua, Hưởng thọ 77 tuổi. Toàn thể thầy cô và cựu học sinh trường Dục Đức Bien-Hoa tại hải ngoại xin thành kính phân ưu cùng gia quyến.

Duc Duc Alumni Association Notice

Hello! A sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has totally changed our lives. In the blink of an eye, It has been more than a year since the outbreak began. We hope all of our teachers and schoolfellows are doing well during the pandemic.

Although the situation in the United States has improved, many people have been vaccinated. After all, outbreaks around the world continue to persist and mutate. Therefore, the Association to take precautions and safety is our top priority, once again, we will not have a school reunion this year.

The Association will continue to pay close attention to the pandemic, if there are any news update regarding to our school reunion, in the first place, we will post on the school website and on Facebook.

Thank you for your warm support and love.
In the meantime, please stay Safe and Healthy. We will see you again.

Dear Duc Duc Alumni,

The global coronavirus pandemic is still strong and not yet under control.
According to scientific data, it is difficult to eliminate the virus in a short period of time.

For the sake of everyone's health and safety, the officers of Duc Duc Alumni Association have unanimously decided to postpone the reunion originally planned for September 26, 2020. The new date will likely be in the second half of 2021 and a specific date will be communicated as soon as possible.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and I hope you will understand and support our decision.
Finally, I hope everyone will stay healthy and take precautions to protect themselves. Together, we will overcome this pandemic.

Time flies, it has been almost two years since the last gala.and it's time for our biennial Duc Duc Reunion again.
